Hailey's Secret

Well, Hailey has been keeping a secret since July 4th...She is going to be a big sister!! The new addition to the Thompson family is due March 10th. I am 10 weeks along and can't wait to be done with the 1st trimester. I have felt more nauseous with this one than I did with Hailey. We will keep you updated on any progress.

Back to Blogging...

Well, I started this blog and have not been very good at keeping up with it. I will post several post today to catch everyone up to what the Thompson's have been up to. I will try to do a better job of keeping up with the blog.

July 4th

July 4th was a fun filled day for all of us. It started in the morning with the neighborhood parade. We decorated Talen's bike and Hailey's car and set off to be in the parade. The kids had a blast. Talen did great riding his bike and playing in the sprinkler. Hailey did well at first but it was getting close to nap time so mommy and daddy had to carrier her towards the end.


After the kids took a nap we had some friends over for a cookout. Then it was time for fireworks. Both kids loved the fireworks. Hailey kept pointing at them. Talen met his girlfriend at the fireworks show. Her name was Lindsey and they were so cute together. The girl would move and Talen would follow. They ended up holding hands and giving each other a hug gooodbye.





After the fireworks were over we thought forsure that Hailey would fall right asleep. We were so wrong. She made it to our next stop...ICE CREAM!! After a stop at Dairy Queen Hailey finally crashed around 10:45. It was a long day but we all had fun.

Hailey is getting ready to take over the family business. She is really good at "typing" on her grandpa's computer and using his phone :) She already thinks she is the boss!

Sleeping Beauty...

The unthinkable happened....Hailey was so tired that she feel asleep on our bed. Of course she was still sucking her fingers and twirling the hair.

Aren't sleeping babies so cute!!

Blogging

Well, I have decided to start blogging so I can keep friends and family informed on our lives.

We stay quite busy around the Thompson household.

Hailey will be 15 months on the 30th and keeps us on our toes. The first 15 months of her life have flown by. She has been walking since 10 months and we can't seem to slow her down. She broke a bone in her foot about a week ago and it only slowed her down for a day or two. We were lucky that it was only a hairline fracture and that it will heal itself. She is also becoming quite the talker. She has about 15-20 words that she can say. (I think I should make a list when I have some time).

Steve has been busy with work and school. He is going back to get his Master's and is only taking one class a semester. He has lessened his traveling schedule to be home with his girls. It means early morning for him but Hailey and I appreciate it so much...Hailey loves having her daddy home.

As for myself, I love spending my days with Hailey. This summer we are keeping busy with Gymboree, swim lessons, and play groups. I work some from home and go into work once a week while my Mom watches Hailey. It is a nice break but I always miss her and am ready to come home.
